Vinko Uhlik is a Zagreb based architect, urban planner and painter. A significant part of his oeuvre is dedicated to shaping the post war urbanisation of Zagreb, especially the south bank of Sava River. Among his works, the residential complexes in Zapruđe, Središće and Siget neighbourhoods, as well as the type design of educational buildings and the planning of the Zagreb central axis, are especially renowned. We talked to Vinko Uhlik in his apartment in Središće about his simultaneous painterly and architectural formation, his experience working in Jugomont, the urban planning in Dalmatia as well as the contemporary urbanisation trends.
